All 9(a) Visa Applications must be lodged online at https://www.visa.gov.ph.

Prior to lodging your application, please read below instructions carefully:
- Per the Philippines Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) Resolution No. 168, s. 2022 dated 27 May 2022. Starting 30 May 2022, a pre-departure test (RT-PCR or antigen) is no longer required ONLY IF the passenger (Filipino or foreigner) 18 y.o. and above, is fully vaccinated AND has a booster shot. Otherwise, RT-PCR or antigen pre-departure test is needed.
- For children 12 to 17 years old, a pre-departure test (RT-PCR or antigen) is no longer required IF fully vaccinated. Children below 12 y.o. are exempted if accompanying parents are fully vaccinated with booster.
- All official NATIONAL certificates of vaccination will be accepted.
- The insurance requirement has been removed.
- The return tickets for foreign nationals is now based on their visa classification (if with visa, e.g. 59 days for 9a), or in accordance with visa-free entry rules (i.e., 30 days).
Applying for a Philippine visa will require that the applicant’s passport be valid for six (6) months beyond beyond the intended period of stay in the Philippines.
The Philippine Embassy will only accept electronic passports and machine readable passports for visa applications. Non-machine readable passports or hand-scripted passports will not be accepted for visa applications. The Visa Officer has the right to ask for any additional documents that may be deemed necessary.
I. Non-Immigrant Visas
1. Original passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond the intended period of stay in the Philippines;
2. Police certificate (for travel abroad) duly authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of country of origin (or its equivalent), in original copy
3. Letter of invitation (if applicable), duly notarized and authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs in the Philippines (if applicable)
4. Bank statement (6 months validity)
5. Employment certificate (6 months validity)
6. For businessman, company registration certificate with evidence of tax payment
7. Photocopy of passport data page
8. Proof of Covid-19 vaccination and booster certificate/card; or yellow card issued by the World Health Organization (WHO)
9. Return flight booking reservation (do not confirm your flight ticket yet)
10. Hotel reservation (including hotel name and address)
11. Travel itinerary detailing travel to the Philippines

3. If spouse is in Nigeria, a letter of endorsement if presently living in the same location
4. If spouse is in the Philippines, letter of invitation duly notarized and authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs in the Philippines
5. Marriage certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in the Philippines
6. Bank statement (6 months validity)
7. Employment certificate (6 months validity)
8. For businessman, company registration certificate with evidence of tax payment
9. Photocopy of passport data page of both husband and spouse
10. Proof of Covid-19 vaccination and booster certificate/card; or yellow card issued by the World Health Organization (WHO)

4.For undergraduate students, a certificate of enrollment from the school duly notarized and authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs in the Philippines for the current academic session is required to finish their studies in the Philippines
5. Bank statement of the sponsor (valid for 6 months)
6. Sworn “Affidavit of Sponsorship” of the sponsor
7. Employment certificate of sponsor (if sponsor is a businessman, submit company registration certificate with evidence of tax payment)
8. School records of origin duly authenticated by the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
9. Medical certificate duly authenticated by the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
10. Birth certificate from the National Population Census Commission (NPCC) duly authenticated by the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
11. Photocopy of passport data page
12. Proof of Covid-19 vaccination and booster certificate/card; or yellow card issued by the World Health Organization (WHO)
13. Return flight booking reservation (do not confirm your flight ticket yet)
14. Proof of accomodation in the Philippines
