The Philippine Embassy in Abuja held a consultation meeting with Philippine Honorary Consul Maricel Villanueva-Wu of Accra, Ghana, and Honorary Consul Yaohui Duncan Chao of Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire during their visit to Abuja, Nigeria, on 06 May 2024. 

During the meeting, embassy officials led by Ambassador Mersole J. Mellejor thanked Honorary Consul Villanueva-Wu and Honorary Consul Chao for their dedicated efforts to promote the Philippines in their respective jurisdictions in terms of trade, investments and tourism and in providing consular services and assistance to Filipinos. They also discussed ways on how the honorary consular offices could further enhance economic and cultural diplomacy activities in Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire.
