ABIDJAN, 26 May 2022 - Post’s two-member consular and diplomatic team comprised of Third Secretary and Vice Consul Dana Michelle C. Del Rosario and Consular Assistant Clifford V. Legal conducted a consular outreach in Abidjan on 21 to 23 May 2022.
With arrangements prepared in advance by Honorary Consul Duncan Yaohui Chao, the team was able to open the mission at the Consulate on Saturday, 21 May and Sunday, 22 May. The team accomplished passport renewals and extensions, as well as processed civil registrations.
On the afternoon of Saturday, 21 May, the Abuja PE team also met with the interim leaders of the Filipino community in Abidjan, to discuss community issues and to encourage them to unite into one cohesive Filipino organization. Along with Consul Chao, Vice Consul Del Rosario encouraged the interim leaders to plan for new elections on 12 June 2022.

On Monday, 23 May 2022, Vice Consul Del Rosario, accompanied by Honorary Consul Duncan Chao, also called on Ambassador Michel Saha, Director of the Asia, Pacific, and Oceanic desk at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Diaspora of Côte d’Ivoire, joined by Deputy Director Mr. Zouza Roland C. Kalou. -END
