06 December 2013 - The Philippine Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria marked the 150th Birth Anniversary of Andres Bonifacio on Friday, November 30 at the chancery.
The commemoration consisted of a simple program of activities at the chancery highlighted by a flag-raising ceremony, Panunumpa sa Watawat, and a brief talk on the life and heroism of Andres Bonifacio delivered by Charge d’ Affaires, a.i. Ralf G. Roldan.
CDA Roldan stressed the importance of emulating the ideals of Andres Bonifacio, particularly his love for freedom and country which are the cornerstone of the Philippine freedom fighters movement, which to this day are exemplified by the men and women of the Philippine Foreign Service.
