Courtesy Call on the High Commission of The Gambia

The High Commissioner of The Gambia His Excellency Mohamadou Musa Njie, received Ambassador Mersole J. Mellejor who made his introductory vist at the chancery of The Gambia in Abuja, Nigeria, on 22 April 2024. The two (2) officials discussed bilateral relations between the the two (2) countries, which date back to 1966. The Gambia is a popular tourist destination and is known to be a top exporter of peanuts of the pink variety, reportedly introduced from the Philippines in the 1960s.
